Sarah graduated from Newcastle University and lived in Amsterdam for many years before moving back to the UK to work in the finance industry in central London.
She has always had an interest in sport, swimming competitively whilst at school and later becoming a very keen rower, squash and then tennis player. She has developed a specific interest in rehabilitation, whether from sport, medical conditions or from the aches and pains our lifestyles throw at us, such as the long working hours she herself endured whilst working in the City.
As well as gaining a qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage from the London School of Sports Massage, Sarah is a qualified personal trainer and also offers tailor-made exercises and stretch routines to improve strength and mobility, to allow her clients to enjoy their activities for that much longer. Sarah recently attained an additional qualification to train and advise clients with specific conditions including Diabetes, Parkinson’s and a number of other neurological disorders.
Sarah specialises in injury prevention and recovery; muscle and joint stiffness; recovery from injuries and operations; posture improvement and stress relief.
She is a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA), the Soft Tissue Association (STA) and the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM). All these associations require a therapist to have followed recognised pathways of training before qualification and completion of annual continuing professional development in order to maintain membership.
Away from work, Sarah is a very keen walker and has walked significant stretches of many long-distance footpaths. She often borrows other peoples’ dogs to go for tramps in the countryside!
