Osteopathy PMI Approval Advice

You should always contact your insurance company to make sure you are covered for any claims before receiving treatment. Once treatment is approved, your insurance company will provide you with a claim number which you should bring with you to your appointment, along with your membership number.

When contacting your insurer you will need to be assertive! They may try to direct you to the cheapest clinician they have secured a deal with and may even state that we do not meet their criteria. The person they recommend will often not be in a convenient location for you or someone you have seen before. Stand your ground and insist that you want to see someone at Springbank Clinic and they should eventually agree.

After treatment, we are happy to save you administrative time and effort by making claims on your behalf and liaising directly with your insurance company.  However, please bear in mind that your policy is between you and your insurer and you are responsible for settling any amounts owing that your insurer is unable or unwilling to pay.

Our osteopaths are registered with all major insurance companies including, AXA PPP, Aviva, Vitality Health, Cigna, Norwich Union and Simply Health. For any other providers, including BUPA, please call the clinic to check if we are registered.

If you do experience any difficulties with referrals to specific practitioners from your insurer, please contact the clinic directly for advice and assistance.
