Home PractitionersRenate Blacker

Renate graduated in 1997 from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and has since been a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

Working as a nurse before and then practising acupuncture for the NHS West Kent trust for substance misuse, Renate has a wealth of experience in many areas of health.

Acupuncture is well known for pain relief and to help manage pain better. This aids the return to daily activities and sports.

Tuina massage and acupressure are often used to complement the treatment. Herbs might be recommended.

Most people find it gentle and relaxing, so can be used for stress and anxieties.

Extensive postgraduate studies in Womens health and gynaecology led to a special interest in fertility and pregnancy. It can be safely used alongside western treatment and is supportive during IVF. Renate is affiliated with the Zita West network.
