Her roles have included team leader for the local NHS Community Neuro Rehab Team, Stroke Co-ordinator, provision of physiotherapy services for clients with long term disabilities within Leonard Cheshire Disability and most recently assessing and facilitating placement into rehabilitation settings for patients with acquired brain injury throughout West Kent. In 2012 She established her own private practise Neuro Rehabilitation Kent in partnership with another physiotherapist.

Jane is passionate about improving the quality of life for people with neurological conditions. She believes by providing enabling strategies to allow clients to work around their impairments excellent functional independence can be achieved.
Balance mobility and posture are other key areas that Jane is able to improve, allowing for greater confidence, a reduction in falls and more independence.
Being highly motivated and positive in her daily life helps her to inspire and raise the expectations of the clients she works ensuring they work hard towards achieving their physical goals. These have been wide ranging from going up to the Base Camp of Everest with one client, to allowing another lady to enjoy a drink at her local pub with her husband, to simply being able to get out of a chair independently.
Jane also believes in the importance of clients gaining knowledge and expertise about how to manage their condition both short and longer term. Providing on-going physical management and exercise plans is integral to her way of working and can often involve finding carers or personal trainers to assist with implementing these in a person’s home or in a gym.
Jane has worked alongside many local health professionals and Kent based services allowing her to gain a thorough knowledge of relevant and specialist neuro services and individuals. This ensures that each client’s unique needs can be managed appropriately.
Her specific experience in working alongside neuropsychiatry and neuropsychology colleagues has provided good insight into the cognitive and mental illnesses clients with neurological conditions can also often present with.
