Dr Hindler’s approach to the assessment and treatment of an individual’s mental health problems is to discuss and explain in detail his opinion and recommendations. He believes that medications have a role to play in treatment, although he is cautious about tablets and tends to err towards non-medication type interventions where possible.
Dr Hindler practised as a Consultant/Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at Guy’s Hospital and began full-time private practice from February 2002.
Dr Charles Hindler is a Consultant Psychiatrist, who qualified as a doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) in 1982. He specialised in Psychiatry and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 1989.
Thereafter, he obtained a research degree in Psychiatry – a Masters degree in Philosophy (MPhil) in 1992 (Anorexia Nervosa) and a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in 2000 (Drug Misuse and General Practice).
