Medical Personal Training with Sarah Westrap-Boon

Have you been thinking about doing some (or more) exercise as a complete beginner, a regular exerciser or to enhance your chosen sport? Or have you been advised by your GP to do some exercise?  Or do you realise the benefits of exercise but just not sure how or where to go about starting? Are you worried about how exercise will impact on your medical condition and health status?

Sarah Westrap-Boon will be joining the Springbank Team at the end of September.  As a medically qualified Personal Trainer Sarah offers a 1:1 personalised exercise programme carried out in a safe and supportive environment that is tailored to your own individual needs and abilities. Sarah conducts an initial, carefully detailed, screening appointment followed by a 5 week block made up of a thorough assessment and 4 week exercise plan. The plan will be designed to enhance cardiovascular ability, increase muscular strength and endurance, as well as increase flexibility. Each 55 minute session is conducted at your specific pace and level of experience.

Sarah has 25 years of medical experience, continuing to work within the NHS as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the level of a GP registrar prescribing exercise alongside, or in certain cases instead of, regular medication. As an Active Practice Champion Sarah holds a Diploma in Exercise Medicine and RCGP certification in Motivational Interviewing.

Sarah’s sporting achievements include being an ex-international junior GB Gymnast and she currently trains and competes for Tonbridge AC as a Masters Track and Field Athlete holding a British title in Sprint Hurdles.

If you would like to take advantage of an offer to optimise health benefits whilst minimising the risk then book an appointment with Sarah by calling the clinic on 01732 453956.
