Balance Physiotherapy

Tom Wright has recently joined Jay Jindal’s Audiology team. Tom is an experienced specialist Balance Physiotherapist who has been working with, amongst other things, fall prevention in older adults within the NHS for over ten years. He is Vice President of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR UK).

Tom will be offering group sessions at Springbank Clinic every Thursday afternoon, as well as home visits and one to one sessions with clients in Sevenoaks or at Audiology Planet’s clinic in Tunbridge Wells.

The sessions are designed to help participants move towards a safer and healthier future. Below is a little information about the classes.

What to expect:

– Professionally guided exercises to improve balance and strength.
– Personalised attention from our experienced physiotherapist.
– Evidence-based techniques from the renowned Otago Exercise Programme (OEP).
– Use of ankle weights and resistance bands for progressive strengthening.
– A supportive and encouraging atmosphere that is welcoming to all.
– All your questions, concerns, and worries addressed during Q&A sessions at the end of each class.

Class details

These classes are aimed primarily at older adults, but anyone is welcome to join and Tom can modify the class routine according to your physical ability

– Duration: 45 minutes including the closing Q&A session
– Frequency: Weekly sessions
– Location: Sevenoaks
– Time: Thursday afternoons at 4pm.

Tom’s group classes are being offered at a special introductory price of £15 per class (for up to eight people) until the end of September 2024.

We are also offering one to one sessions with Tom to assess your balance needs at an introductory price of £95 with follow up appointments thereafter costing £75 per hour.

Tom will begin a class for younger adults for more general issues with co-ordination and balance, as well as a class for children, should there be a demand.
